WELCOME
INTRODUCTION
This site was initially produced to explain my reasons for 'shelving' Geocaching and moving over to the new game using Smart Phones called Munzee. The link to the main Munzee website is here .
So, just over 6 months have passed, the Winter has (almost) left us, my Geocaching frustrations have all but gone and where do we stand now?
Munzee is undergoing positive change after change. The developers of the game are forward thinking. interactive with the game players and learning with the rest of us. There have been some rocky patches, mainly caused by the huge uptake of the game causing a strain on the Munzee web-site, but on the whole the passage along the Munzee road has been upwards, and exciting. The Munzee Forum is, on the whole quite positive when discussing problems/issues and the Facebook Groups, especially Munzee GB (all welcome here). I still enjoy Munzee, and at the time of writing am ranked number 9 in the Worldwide list.
BUT
Geocaching is gradually making it's way back into my scavenger hunting obsession, the GPSr is creaking at the number of unfound caches, and having found a very well constructed cache, with excellent description and top location (3 yards from one of my Munzees) I find that I am back Geocaching too! I just hope that the very understanding wife (although she doesn't so much understand the obsession(s) as tolerate them) is still as understanding when I start talking about caches as well as Munzees...
So that's me then - Northking on both Munzee and Geocaching sites, based in Nottinghamshire UK and juggling life with the parallel and shady Worlds of wandering the Cities, Roads, Lanes and Countryside studying a small screen on a phone or GPSr, or both!
If you do happen upon this site by accident and then see a large, grey haired, apparently confused bloke muttering to himself, whilst out in the wilds, with his eyes on a screen or backside in the air then please be kind and pass by without laughter (and please be assured that I have not collapsed).
STOP PRESS...........
Geocaching is on the radar, 44 caches found in 4 days! Oh yes! and 100 Munzees deployed along the same route as the caches :-)
And for those who know me, the wife is sharpening her knives as I mentioned caches and Geocoins again!!
